Why Eco friendly?

Organic practices eliminate or substantially reduce the use of chemically mass produced fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides. Production of these is carbon intensive and buying organic food can reduce your food related carbon footprint significantly.


Organic food production eliminates soil and water contamination. As synthetic chemicals are not used, it does not pose any risk of soil and underground water contamination. Improved soil biology also helps in increasing biodiversity.


This product uses ingredients from plants which are farmed organically without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides and uses an environmentally and socially responsible approach. The certifications that the product has ensures that contents of a package are 95% or more certified organic. It ensures that food or other agricultural product has been produced through approved methods that promote ecological balance and conserve biodiversity. As such the product has a low carbon footprint and is health friendly.

Organic Toor Dal contains a high quantity of Thiamine which regulates heart function and plays a key role in using carbohydrates as a source of energy. Riboflavin is also present in toor dal which helps in oxygen transport in the body and maintains healthy eyes. Other health benefits are by the presence of choline and folate which is used for the synthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and the proper cell activity, respectively. Every 100 grams of Toor Dal provides us with at least 569 kJ of energy hence considered a superfood.
