Organic practices eliminate or substantially reduce the use of chemically mass produced fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides. Production of these is carbon intensive and buying organic food can reduce your food related carbon footprint significantly.
Organic food production eliminates soil and water contamination. As synthetic chemicals are not used, it does not pose any risk of soil and underground water contamination. Improved soil biology also helps in increasing biodiversity.
This product uses ingredients from plants which are farmed organically without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides and uses an environmentally and socially responsible approach. Organic Himalayan Pink Rock Salt is mined from the mines that rise from Indo Gangetic Plain, It is mined from Khewra Salt Mine. The chemical composition of Himalayan salt includes 95–96% sodium chloride, with 2-3% polyhalite and small amounts of ten other minerals. The pink color of rock salt is due to the presence of iron oxide in it. It is commonly used in cooking, in place of another table salt, in brine, and for bath products such as bath salts. Blocks of salt are also used as serving dishes and in the preparation of food.
